Part 1. Photography
- Take a photograph looking straight down into a coffee cup.
- You May have someone holding the cup also
- Make sure you are on a HIGH Aperture so you see all the details.
Do NOT take your photograph like this. You MUST zoom in and be in focus.

- It is ok that there is extra stuff around the cup. We will crop that later.

Part 2: Art
Art/space/wave/etc. (NO people or animals)
- Pick a photo of a work of art/space/wave/etc. (no people or animals)
- You will be putting this image into the coffee.
- I used Starry Night by Van Gogh

Part 3. Photoshop
You must EDIT and Crop before starting

- Pick the Ellipse Tool. You you can’t find it right click on any of the shape tools to revile it.

2. Select black as the fill color. Draw a circle in the middle of the coffee cup. ![]()
3. Click Control and T to make the circle fit around the inside of the cup

4. Drag your image on-top of the coffee cup. Make it just a little bigger than the circle by clicking Control T to change the size.

5. Right click on the Image Layer. Pick Create Clipping Mask. The image will now be in the circle.

6. If the image is to strong, you may slightly pull down the Opacity to lighten it.

7. To make it look more realistic
- Add a mask to the image layer
- Select a black brush
- Pull the brush flow down to about 25
- Gently paint out the edges of the photo. This will let a little of the black show through and make it look like a shadow.
