Assignment Photos

* You will be emulating the type of photographs Dorothea Lange took during the Great Depression but with your own lives at this time.

* You will be completing a write up about each of the photographs you take

1.Porch Photo

Take a photograph of your family on your porch. Don’t get dressed up for it. Just come out wearing what you have on. Pajamas, workout clothes, messy hair…….it doesn’t matter. The photos should show how life really is during this time.

2.Inside the home

Take a photo of your life inside your house and how it is different from normal routine and lifestyle. See examples above.

3. Life Outside the Home

If you are on a walk or in your car, take a photo of something that shows how things are different right now.

4. Life Through a Window

Take a photograph of a family member or pet through a window. This can be taken at day or night. Just be sure that the light is correct so that you can see clearly inside.

Assignment Write Up

Complete the write up on a google doc for each of the 4 photographs you took

1. Give your photograph a title.

2. Paragraph 1- Explain what is happening in the photo.

3. Paragraph 2- Explain the emotion associated with the photo.

4. Paragraph 3-4 is open for you to write out what you are feeling about what you are going through during this time. It’s ok to be angry, sad or any other emotions.
